Im using Adobe Acrobat 5.0 on 6 imaged Lenovo T500 labtops. (with windows xp SP2 OS) everytime I print to the PDF Writer, I get a message that "This document failed to print." When I open the printer, the status reads "Error-printing." However, the pdf file is created. I downloaded the 5.0.5 update and the 5.0.10. but no help. I called up adobe and they didnt help me. I read many stories of the same problem, but no solutions. Any ideas thanks.. I have other t500's which the programs work fine, just on these, they do not. I was wondering if anyone knew of older chipsets i could get my hands on.
thx

Re: T500 and Adobe 5.0 Pdf Writer "document failed to print"
Welcome to thinkpads.com!
Seeing as how you are using a fairly old version of Acrobat (I myself have a slightly buggy 6.0 installation), I'm not surprised that you can't get any help from Adobe. It sounds like you have some problems with the driver and/or Windows registry, as other T500 systems are working. My suggestion would be, as long as you have the original installation disk, to un-install Adobe and then do an install. That might fix whatever problems you are having.
Not sure what you mean by "older chipsets" and what possible reason(s) why you would need or might think changing the hardware.
edit: Doing a quick Google search, this is one solution:

Adobe's support does have the answer: I needed to unselect the "Do not send fonts to Distiller" box in the Distiller printer properties (Printing Preferences...Adobe PDF Settings). It's working fine now, give that a try.
