External graphics solution

I've got a T400 with switchable graphics. Though the ATI graphics are sufficient for most, I'm hungry for more gaming power!

Well, anyway. I've looked at a solution connecting a desktop PCI-Express grapics card via the express card interface.

Are there any modern high performace cards fitting the discontinued docking station?
Is there anyone who have some stats of what speeds are to be expected from the T400's express bus/advanced dock?
