I have a T500 with GPRS/3G card. I bought it USA so it is "blocked" to AT&T.
I live in Norway and want to use the card here with a local providers SIM card.
Is there any possibility to get this to work?

Download
DC-unlocker client software and if your card is supported, run it to confirm if it is locked or unlocked - If locked you can unlock via dc-unlocker.com for a small fee.

What makes you think it is
locked to AT&T?

It did follow a AT&T sim card witht the laptop when I got it.
Any tips how to get it to work with another simcard? what software should I use to connect with?

The usual method is to go to a retail outlet for your preferred 3G ISP, get a SIM card from them (which often involves signing up for a service), put it in the SIM slot and follow their instructions for connecting. The ISP will have information on what APN and other 3G settings you will need to create a WWAN profile in Access Connections.
The Ericsson F3507g card does WCDMA on 850Mz/1900MHz/2100MHz bands, so chose an ISP that uses one of those bands.
The card
WILL NOT work for WCDMA based services on the 900MHz band.
Cheers,
Bill B.

The card WILL NOT work for WCDMA based services on the 900MHz band.
Thats the reason!
What kind of card do I need for using in the WCDMA 900MHz band?

Providing you can get around the BIOS white listing and able to source the following cards -
Sierra Wireless MC8792V,
Huawei EM772/EM770W or
Option GTM382E /
Gobi2000 may be of use as they cover the WCDMA 900MHz band.
