Acronis experience

Hey Guys,
I installed Acronis on my T500 to create a backup image.
When I try to recover the image to verify it works the laptop hangs just after the logo screen during the 1st reboot.
Anyone encounter this?
I'm running XP.
Thanks,
Chris

Have you tried booting with the Acronis CD ?
I've Acronis True Image Home with XP and it works perfectly but I use an external USB drive it's slower but more secure.
20' are needed for a 15 GB C:/ recovery

I created an Acronis boot CD as well.
I used this on startup.
I get to the menu screen to choose Acronis Image Workstation.
After selecting it continues to the XP logo screen with the status bar then it hangs in the same spot as trying to do a recovery.
Just get a blank screen.
I have no idea what is conflicting during boot.

In your BIOS settings, is your hard drive set to "compatability mode"? If it's AHCI the drive will not boot.
