Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone would be bold enough to remove their t500 lcd bezel and or top cover if you have webcam installed Lenovo lists the lcd cover as the same across the board yet I have a non webcam model and do not see and cut outs etc your time and info greatly appreciated

I don't have a T500 with a webcam, but I have removed the front bezel part of the T500 display (see here). It doesn't seem clear from your post which specific technical information you are asking about, but just to let you know, I did see an unused cable section (and connector if I recall correctly) to the left of the Thinklight cable section (item 5 of the figure here shows the thinklight and other cable sections).

Presumably this is for the camera, however I don't see where on the front bezel it would go without making cutouts on it.

There is no 'cutout' for the camera, but there is a clear window that is about an inch and a half wide by 3/4 inch high ... and no I won't be removing a bezel from my 3 day old (to me) T500.

i understand ive seen a few people mess bezels, hinges up with the t500s tinkering around. could you possibly take a hi-res photo and share it so I could compare the two? would be greatly appreciative if you could as I know a few others would like to swap to camera equipped. Thanks

Thank you so its definetly a different bezel with that said there has to be a different p/n is yours a CTO model? could you provide the number if its not a cto perhaps can use that to locate a bezel. Thanks again though. Just wonder why lenovo lists only 1 p/n for the lcd housing

Mine is a 2242 CTO. There is nothing in the original parts list to indicate a part number for the bezel. I did find out that I have an LG WSXGA+ LCD panel though while looking about.

well guess im off to contacting lenovo and hope they share their secret pn lol
