wierd graphic behavior while Playing spore (t400)

Hi, I bought a 64 bit T400 with Vista SP 2 with integrated graphics.

I don't play videogames often, but just on a lark, I downloaded Spore on it.

Basically fun, but every so often rectangular portions of the screen will "flutter" causing the game to be unusable.

I can fix the problem by escaping out of the Spore Window, returning to the Desktop and returning to the game window.

Is there any setting I can make to my T400 to prevent this from happening? It's beginning to bother me....
