BAD_POOL_CALLER

#1 Post by T400plus » Sat Oct 24, 2009 5:53 am

The T400 powers on , goes upto windows is starting up and then tries to be informative with the above message. Then it says something about dumping and
....loops again .
there is a embedded message like
stop:0x0000000C2 :(

Can one of these group who has also been cursed by this problem help me to resolve it.
The history is that I had given my T400 to the repair centre as the night light was not coming up. They informed me that they had to change the planar board to make that tiny light blink.
The moment i put on my machine on I started getting the above pattern of rude response from the combination of T400(from lenovo) and the XP OS (from the evil empire).

Strangely enough, I just had this problem today (3x) under Vista.

I used the NirSoft utility BluescreenView to examine the minidump and determine where the crash was coming from. In my case, the top three items on the stack were:

dne2000.sys (part of the deterministic network enhancer from Citrix; installed as part of my Cisco VPN)
ndis.sys
ntoskrnl.exe

I did the following to (knock on wood) resolve this:

1. Installed a later version of my WiFi driver (Atheros b/g driver, from laptop2video.com forums)
2. Installed a dneupdate from Citrix

After that, I haven't had another bluescreen...

Good luck, your mileage may vary.

I cant even go into safe mode to try such remedies , though I downloaded 10 dricvers for T400 Xp.The probelm is /was How do i boot from a Foreign XP cd as the one on the machine(the original licensed , supplied by the Lenovo) is a format restore version.

Is ther any way I can try with a xp cd from a different source, licensed of course.
I will wait for 1 day more as I am coping gigabytes from the 160 GB slow seagte momentus drive
and it will take me at least half a working day.

Mumbai,India
