T400s Multi-touch Trackpad......for T400?

afaik the t400s supports special finger gestures like multi-touch, two-finger scroll, swipe, etc. i was wondering if this is possible with t400 (which i own)? or is there a hardware difference that cannot be changed with software/driver? personally i love the two-finger scroll (ex-macbook user) and the scrolling bar on the side/bottom is a pain to use.

thanks

I think there is no hardware difference between the T400s and T400 touchpads (the T400s is physically larger). I have a Z61p and multi-touch scroll works under Linux. Under Windows however, I'm not sure if the driver does any sort of probing to determine the capabilities of the touchpad.

i hope theres no hardware difference, cause then i'll still have some hope. i tried installing t400s ultranav driver, but no luck. i know many asus netbooks supports mutlitouch, yet their trackpad is smaller than that of t400.

I am interested in this topic as well. If there is only problem with the drivers, it can be solved.
