T400 VPN problems on W7 -- help please!

Hi, I've got a fresh 32-bit Windows 7 RC installed on my T400. At present I don't have any of the Lenovo stuff installed.

I cannot get my Cisco ipsec VPNs (I alternate periodically between 2 different service providers) to work. :(

It "connects," but then it doesn't allow any data through. (That makes the internet just a little tooooo secure!)

To no benefit I have...
-tried wifi and LAN cable
-installed the most recent version of the Cisco client: 5.0.06.0110
-tried the other Cisco client called AnyConnect
-uninstalled/reinstalled everything multiple times
-tried turning on/off the "Enable Transport Tunneling" feature

So here are my questions:
1) Is anyone successfully using an ipsec Cisco VPN on a similar system?
2) Any recommendations I could try?
3) Any other VPN service providers/clients you might be able to recommend?

Thank you in advance!
:)

This thread is for Vista...may or may not apply to W7, but FWIW...

After MUCH pain this is the lesson I learned: ZoneAlarm can goof up a VPN even when it's disabled. When I totally uninstalled it stuff started working fine.

Well, maybe the problem isn't completely solved. Sometimes the VPN works, sometimes it doesn't.

Perhaps I need to update my drivers for my networking stuff? Help, please:

Under Network Adapters I have:
-Intel(R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN
-Intel(R) 82567 LM Gigabit Network Connection

But it doesn't look like Lenovo has T400 drivers for that stuff for Windows 7?

Thank you in advance!

Okay, I did find this for W7 beta drivers. Is that my only option?

Also, this one says 5350... is that going to work for me 5300?
