experts , is this configuration of T400 is good ?

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P9500 (2.53GHz 1066MHz 6MBL2) 25W ( this is the main point the processor )

Operating system: Genuine Windows 7 Professional 32

Display type: 14.1 WXGA+ TFT, w/ LED Backlight, Camera

System graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 3470 with 256MB ( note : can i chose switchable??) or it will be switchable buy default ?

Total memory: 3 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM

Pointing device: UltraNav (TrackPoint and TouchPad) with Fingerprint Reader

Hard drive: 160 GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm ( which better 5400 with large space or 7200 with less space and use external HD if needed ?

Intel® Turbo Memory hard drive cache: Intel Turbo Memory 2GB

Optical device: DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim (Serial ATA)

System expansion slots: Express Card Slot & 7-1 Media Card Reader

Bluetooth: Integrated Bluetooth PAN 1 Mobile Broadband: Integrated Mobile Broadband upgradable

Battery: 9 cell Li-Ion Battery 1

is that is the best balance between highest performance and long battery life and less heat or there is another suggestion ??

Its switchable by default.

Intel® Turbo Memory hard drive cache: Intel Turbo Memory 2GB , is really will not help at all , even with a slight difference?
if so , what is the benefit of this piece ?

I turned my Turbo Memory on/off and didn't notice too much performance improvement. I'd rather buy a faster and bigger hard drive for that money instead.
