Re: 9 cell power management drivers and software
Is it possible it's running both the Integrated and Dedicated (assuming you have switchable) at the same time? It's been known to do that sometimes... Try toggling the Energy Saving and High Performance options in Power Manager.
You can also try running System Update 3.14 to get all of the necessary drivers.

Re: 9 cell power management drivers and software
I have updated all drivers other than some bios fiddling software.
I am using only discrete graphics (ATI).The Thinkpad support engineer (very supportive in hardware affairs)knows nothing about 9 cell batteries so I am left to figure out on my own.
Is there some other software required other than what comes via update?.Even for discrete
only I had to download the ATI software seperately(not via update)
apperently the Xp supplied via the emegency button is not having the proper 9 cell drivers.
I had purchased the machine in Canada for use in India and Lenovo does not sell these machines locally.
In the bios both the options were on.I left only the discrete on and i am getting 1 hr more.
Any other magic settings?
