[Solved]T400s No active LAN port when cable is inserted

Hi,
my new T400s doesn't activate LAN port when I insert the Ethernet cable while computer is running. If I restart the laptop everything is working fine. Someone over here who observed a similar behaviour or has a working solution for that? Changing Energy options in Win 7 and Power manager had no effect.

how long did you wait after pluggin it in to see if it comes up? Even on my T60 it would shut down those ports when not in use and sometimes had to wait up to 30 seconds for it to repower the port.

I found the problem it was a setting in my Fritzbox router. I had to change the LAN ports from automatic detection to always on. Now
everything is working fine.
