Will PC-10600 SODIMM 1333 MHZ RAM Work or just PC-8500

I am actually able to get a better price on the PC-10600 than I am for the PC-8500.
However, I saw in the T400 specs that max speed is 1066 (PC-8500).
I also read that in general you can put a faster speed ram in the computer and it will be limited to the max speed of the motherboard.

Basically I want to upgrade to 8GB RAM.

Also, is it possible that the T400 will actually go as fast as the 1333 MHZ?

As long as it has PC8500 timings in the SPD (many do, but there is no 100% warrantee if not specified), then there is no reason why it should not work.

In any case and for a T400, try always to have two identical sodimms in the machine. They will then work in dual channel and improve performance.
