Ultrabay for T400s? Would Ultrabay from T60 work?

#1 Post by bessel » Fri Dec 25, 2009 1:04 pm

I had the suspicion that T60 Ultrabay is ultimately a SATA-PATA connector and may not work on T400s, so I would need a new one.

Google tells me T400s uses Serial Hard Drive Bay Adapter III (43N3412), but I want to confirm that you can NOT use a T60 Ultrabay in it.

Also hopefully the bay adapter accommodates 2.5" HDD? Please confirm that too.

Thanks!

That is true, the UltraBay adapters are different in a T400s vs. a T60. The UltraBay adapter accepts 2.5" SATA laptop hard drives.
All you need is the ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter III” (PN 43N3412)
