which 128GB SSD in new T500s?

Hi Y'all,
Am looking at buying a T500 before the end of the year.
Does anybody know which 128GB SSD they are putting in them right now?
Is it better to go with an after-market unit?
Going from the 4200RPM drive in my X41 tablet to a Samsung SSD was a BIG improvement!
Thanks and good health, Weogo

In a T400 there was a 1.8" Samsung drive in a 2.5" rack.

Hi and thanks for the reply!
Samsung is what I have in my X41 Tablet. It isn't as fast as some SSDs, but way faster than the factory drive.
Intel X25 and OCZ Agility EX are looking pretty good in the reviews.
Good health, Weogo

I believe in your X41 you have an older drive.
The 64GB SSD Samsung MMCRE64G8MPP micro SATA 1.8" drives in T400 are much faster than conventional 7200rpm hard drives.

FYI: I have spent lots of time (i.e. months each) with both the X25 and the OCZ Agility in my T400. The bottom line is that both of these SSDs are infinitely faster than any mechanical/spinning hard drive. Boot times, application launches, and software install/upgrade/removal are all orders of magnitude faster. You also get a marginal battery life improvement (noticeable but not stunning) as well as less noise/vibration (which may or may not matter to you...)
For 99% of users, this is the single most important component selection you can make, and if there is any way you can possibly afford the upgrade to an SSD, you want to do it.
In terms of comparison between the two: the Intel benchmarks a little bit better, but from an "overall user experience" I really cannot tell much of a difference.
