Hi,
I have just ordered a T410 from lenovo US. However I would really like to have a German keyboard installed in this device. I know I could do it myself but I can't seem to be able to order the part.

On this site it gives me FRUs:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 72804.html

They are from the t400 model but seem to be the same listed in the t410 service manual. Now my problem is where can I order? And, what is the difference between the three coloumns? I reckon it could be models with or without fingerprint sensor. Also I can't seem to find any prices on keyboards. Does anyone know how much a t400 replacement keyboard would set me back?

Cheers

Vincent

I imagine that the three columns represent the three different vendors (NMB/Alps/Chicony), even though I find it peculiar that the site (and the HMM) don't list which is which.

Fingerprint sensor is on the palmrest, which is a separate part.

I would try calling Lenovo / IBM Germany and asking them if they sell the part.

Haven't checked the FRUs myself but there's no way you could use a T400 keyboard in a T410.

T410 uses a T400s keyboard (at least as layout goes). They have different TrackPoint buttons (they are part of the keyboard in both models) and the top bezel (where the power and volume button are) is longer in T400 keyboard.

Compare these two pictures:
T400
T410

His link is for the T400s keyboard though.
