Full Column of Stuck Pixels

My whole 262nd column (vertical) of pixels is stuck solid cyan. I used to be able to twist the display to make it go away. Ever since I took the plastic shell off and fiddled around, I haven't been able to do that anymore. I can't find much on these forums regarding stuck rows.

Any ideas?

It's a 1440x900 LED made by LG.

There is no repair for that. Replace the LCD. You have a small fracture in the control array which is causing one of the transistor control lines to fail.

I don't suppose I can upgrade to an IPS while I'm at it?

EDIT: Are all LCD connectors the same?

The connectors may not always be the same, and the EDID chips required for Lenovo machines may not exist on other seemingly compatible LCDs. Also, Lenovo and IBM never made a 14" 1440x900 widescreen IPS LCD, so that is not one of your options.
