T500 - Old apps. don't scale to widescreen

#1 Post by sfara » Sun Jan 31, 2010 9:56 am

Hello everyone,
I just got my brand new T500 - type 2055 WQX - with the 1650 x 1050 screen resolution and the Ati 3650; OS: Windows 7 Ultimate.
I got some old aplications and games that i want to run fullscreen but they wown't scale....i get black space on all 4 directions and the app. runs in the middle. How do i get them to run troully fullscreen. There must be a setting somewhere because i also got an HP mobile workstation with (1920x1200 resolution) and in the nvidia control there's a setting for this.

Second question would be related to device manager reporting in the "other devices" section a so called PCI Simple Communications Controller which i don't know what it does.

Thank you.

Make sure that HV Expansion is enabled in the BIOS Display settings.

If it is enabled, and still you experience this, then it's most definitely a driver issue, and I would look for some setting in the ATI driver / control center, or update the driver.
