Power Manager not turning off display when idle

#1 Post by pipspeak » Wed Feb 17, 2010 3:49 pm

I'm currently running Win7/32 with the Lenovo power manager v3.12 on my T400 and the display idle timers do not work with my external monitor (via mini dock DVI). I can set any power scheme through the windows display settings or Lenovo Power Manager to turn off the display after X minutes and nothing happens -- the display stays on even when I've been away from my desk for hours.

It seems like some software or hardware is keeping the computer from actually idling because when I right click on the battery gauge and select "power off display" the display goes off then immediately comes back on as though instantly woken up. I've tried exiting all programs, turning off AV and firewall software, unplugging external keyboard and any other peripherals, but still the problem persists. I've also installed all the recommended WIn7 updates via System Update. No luck with those, either.

It used to work fine, but at some point (maybe when I installed Win7... can't remember exactly) it just stopped and it's is baffling me. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know before I pull any more hair out.

Mine stop to work. Can´t load the app. "is not a valid win32...". So have to reinstall, then works for a while, but if I change some of the parameters, sometime before gets wrong again. Can´t switch from the taskbar but can´t open the Maganer, anyone have this problem? I´m having it on XP..
