Hey guys. I just ordered my t400s and am very excited! Its a refurb from the outlet.
Here are the specs:
Processor Intel® Core™2 Duo SP9400 (2.40GHz, 6MB L2, 1066MHz FSB)
Operating System Genuine Windows 7 Professional 32
Display 14.1” WXGA+ (1440 X 900) TFT
Total Memory 2GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory
Hard Drive 64GB SATA 2.5" SSD Solid State Drive
Graphics Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Optical Device DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer Ultrabay Slim
Wireless ThinkPad 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter III
Mobile Broadband Integrated Wireless Wide Area Network upgradable
Battery 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (6.5 Hour Run Time)
Limited Warranty 1 Year Standard
Color Black
Bluetooth No
Integrated Camera No
Fingerprint Reader Yes
Keyboard/Pointing Device UltraNav (TrackPoint and TouchPad)
I actually had bought an Thinkpad Edge but I needed more computing power, larger screen, and contrary to many reviews on the Edge's keyboard I found it uncomfortable. I had a huge problem deciding on a computer between Dell, Asus, Lenovo it was giving me a headache because there are so many good computers to choose from. The feature that finally won me over on the Thinkpad was the keyboard, size, build quality, and ultrabay. I love the thinkpad keyboard and my previous laptop was a 3000 N100 with a similar design and I was spoiled with it. All other keyboards fell short. I do use a CD drive but not very often and will eventually get a SATA ultrabay adapter and put a hard drive in once I fill up my SSD.
I decided that I really didn't need the new 410s because for school I do low-power applications and no gaming at all as I have a dedicated desktop gaming rig
Also I keep hearing that the shipping date is being pushed further back and I need the laptop soon.
Anyway...do you guys have any suggestions for a new t400s owner?
