T410 Freezes For A Few Seconds

#1 Post by gzlatin » Mon Mar 01, 2010 10:37 pm

Having a weird issue with my T410...every once in a while it will freeze for a few seconds usually when i'm using the mouse or the trackpad. The mouse arrow freezes up for a few seconds and then jumps to catch up to where it should be. Not sure if it's a software issue or what. Any ideas?

Not sure whats else is going on , and not sure which model you have...

but I would look @ ThinkVantage® Active Protection System™ ....
settings are probably way to sensetive for your workings.

(me I never been a fan of TV spoftware, I unsintall all of them!)

Do you have a solid state drive?

No, i have a 7200 rpm drive

I haven't disabled or played with any of the thinkvantage settings on the computer yet. Do you recommend changing any specific settings whithin the Thinkvantage? I don't have any TV software installed so not exactly sure what you're referring to there.

As noted above, try disabling the Active Protection Settings for the hard disk to see if that fixes the problem. If so, turn it back on, but reduce the sensitivity.
