Oh right, I forgot that it's on short supply right now. Yeah maybe not worth the wait, then. Enjoy your new system! :)

While generally it doesn't sell, in my book there is nothing as delightful as good news. Well I'm here to tell you that this T510 is one heck of a good ThinkPad. Fast, cool & quite it's a wonderful example of a well thought out model. Build quality continues to impress, and being completely devoid of chassis and palm rest creaks is the icing on the cake. Under the category of "there is no perfect model" is the only area I find an issue with, and that's the 16:9 display. Brilliant in clarity, contrast and color accuracy, if it was 16:10 that would be ideal. Finally * sigh of relief * we are back to the great keyboards that have been a hallmark in years past. Thus I am happy to report that I can endorse the T510 without hesitation.

Cheers... :)
I just ordered a W510 with the HD+ display, I hope it will arrive sometime during next week.

I'm assuming the HD+ display is the same as the one used in the T510, how does it compare to the WSXGA+ display in the T500?
The T500 has a good display, but I find it to be too blueish, also it's contrast ratio could be better and color saturation is not as good as I like it to be, the black value is a bit high as well (the IPS display in my A30/p is very nice, it only lacks color space).

The 16:9 display size is the only drawback to an otherwise terrific display. It's too bad that Lenovo went to that size, but it's understandable. The T500 16:10 displays' only advantage is vertical space. By every other measure the T510 is superior.

That said, Apple has retained the 16:10 format for their 2010 15" MacBook Pro's and it's a beauty. Too bad Lenovo did not do the same.

Cheers... :)
