T500 four beeps and blank screen on startup

Hi,
Can someone help to suggest the fix to the blank screen problem? Re-sitting of memory sticks did not fix it.
Problem description:
Four beeps and blank screen after pressing power on button. The four beeps are short and weak. They are quieter than the noise from DVD drive. The beeps are much weaker than those beeps when the memory sticks are removed. There are only one group of four beeps, so it is not security chip problem which is associated with 4 cycles of 4 beeps.
Following LEDs stay ON:
"Power on",
"Battery Status",
"AC Power status" and
"DVD status".
Following LEDs were flashed and then OFF:
"Num lock',
"Caps lock",
"Drive in use" and
"DVD drive LED".
FAN and DVD were spin.
System:
Thinkpad T500 2242-CTO, CPU P8600, 2x1G memory, onboard video.
