Access Connections NOT working with ThinkPad T400?

I recently received a ThinkPad T400 running WIN XP with SP3. This ThinkPad uses an Intel 5100 AGN WiFi card for WiFi and an Intel 82567LM for wired Ethernet.

The Corporate SW build did not include Access Connections. The Lenovo SW Matrix for the T400 shows Access Connections as being supported on the T400 with WIN XP.

I checked with the Corporate IT Support Desk and received permission to install Access Connections. I installed Access Connection 5.50 (as recommended from the Lenovo SW Driver matrix for the T400. I doubled checkd to make sure that I have the correct level driver for for the Intel network adapters.

Access Connections does NOT see that WiFi adapter nor does it see any wireless networks.

Wireless capabilities work well when I have Windows manage the Wireless capabilities.

Any idea on what the problem may be?

Did you follow the 'software and device driver' requirements exactly?

I now have Access Connections working on my T400.

The final piece of the “puzzle” to get Access Connections working was to install the Lenovo ThinkVantage drivers that did NOT come with the "Corporate" build for the T400, including: [

* Intel PROSet Wireless WiFi Drivers
* ThinkPad OnScreen Display
* ThinkPad Power Manager

Using only the Windows XP Wireless Network drivers, I did have WiFi capabilities. However, [Fn] + [F5] did not show any WiFi network capabilities, only Bluetooth.

Thanks to HarryC for his response to my inquiry!
