Need some help deciding T410, T410s, Edge, Xseries

Hey everyone,
So Im finally out of thinkpads and looking to get back in, but having trouble with a 100%, no regret decision. Im approaching this dilemma a bit differently by looking at my "thinkpad burn rate".
Thinkpad T410 ~1000 int GPU, ~1500 dis GPU, ~5lbs, fully expandable with 2nd hdd, large batt selection
Thinkpad T410s, ~1300 int GPU, DVD/batt, ~4lbs, less batt selection
Thinkpad Edge, ~800 int GPU, ~3.5lbs, no expansion, also less batt
Thinkpad x210, 210s, ~1200, ~3lbs, no expansion, large batt selection
From my past "thinkpad burn rate", it seems I replace just about every year, but a 3 year warranty is desired as I can sell them much better at the end of my use for a good amount of cash. Case in point: Bought an X61 Tablet, multitouch used for ~750 3yr warr, sold after 1yr for 500 with 11mo on warranty. Calculating that out, 250/12mo, $21/mo.
Supposing I buy a T410s, total around 1500 with tax and some accessories, and I sell again in a year for half, or two years for a third, and I end up paying quite a bit more a month. I love the size, and if it had the switchable graphics/usb 3.0 on all ports, I might end up keeping it for much longer, but after say 3 years with no sale, my cost would be $500/year, or about buying a brand new x100e each year. Seems kinda high to me, whereas if I buy an edge, my 3 year cost would be about half. Then again, after about 1 or 2 years, the T410s will probably retain more value than the budget edge.
Anyways, hopefully someone out in the thinkpad world can help me sway my decision. Ive handled them all except the edge (still dont have that one in stock), and while I love the flexibility of the T410 and the price, its seriously a big machine for my everyday carry.
