Adding Bluetooth in a T400

Hi all,

Apologize if this has been answered, but hoping someone who has gone through this could answer definitively. I've read conflicting info in various threads while searching.

I'm looking to order a bluetooth daughter card 42T0969 and add it to my t400 that has no bluetooth in it. Before I order the card and crack the screen open I wanted to see if anyone knew whether the connectors for the card come in every t400, or if the connections for bluetooth are missing if you dont order your laptop with bluetooth. Also, is the antenna necessary if the device sits right next to the laptop? I don't see the antenna mentioned in the parts list in the HMM.

Thanks for any help. Seems like a lot of work when I could just buy a dongle, but it'd be nice to have it in my computer at all times without thinking about it.

I can answer the second part of your question...there is no external antenna with that card. It is built in.
