Are you using an administrator account?

If not then you need to go into administrator account and set your power manager preferences there.

Yep I am administrator. I can change the settings in windows power options, but there is not the whole options, what are in power manager. Like brightness example, what i am most curious. I deleted before in the windows power options the energy star power plan and it disappeard in the thinkpad power manager also. But the other ones didnt disappeard, like max perfomance or minimum perfomance. I placed energy star back with this http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... NGY-STAR40 thing. Its funny that before I deleted most of the power plans in the windows power options, their arent also changeable in the power manager. But know they are, only not energy star. I think this thing is bound with windows power option, but how I get rid of that? In windows vista this wasnt a problem, but in xp is.
