T400 4500mhd video issue

Hi

I have a Lenovo T400 with 4500mhd graphics, 4 GB RAM with Windows 7 x64. When playing video e.g. xvid, it’s pixelated and looks generally poor. I’ve tried the same file on my old T42 and it works fine.

I’ve put the latest BIOS and video drivers from the Lenovo support but with no luck?

Any ideas?

Thanks Andrew

What software are you playing the video in? Perhaps the codec or player is corrupted.

Try using the free VLC; maybe it'll be able to decode and play it properly.

As a reference, I can play DVDs using VLC on the Intel card with no issues. (Although the display panel quality could be better :P)

EDIT:

I noticed your post on the Lenovo forum :P

Does the issue occur in windowed mode or in fullscreen mode?
Is your DirectX the latest version?

I guess it's happening it window mode but it's really visable in full screen mode.

Put on the lastest direct X, tried VLC, media centre and media player also tried different codecs with no luck.
