Recovery DVD for T410.

I have a T410 and went ahead and bought my own SSD to use with it. I am in Windows 7 and trying to create a restoration DVD so I can reinstall over my SSD, so when given the option do I need to make a boot and data DVD? Is this even the right tool? The boot DVD I made doesn't even boot, neither does the data DVD. I can try to make another set but before I waste DVD's I'd like to know the proper way to do this. Or should I be using CD-r's? Hehe...

Thanks.

Typically the first disk is a CD followed by one or two DVDs. You can only make the disks. Calling support and telling them you recovery discs didn't come out right might be worth a shot. They may send you a set.

When you make a data DVD it will also make a boot DVD with it. I made the mistake of making just a boot DVD first and ended up with two of them after I made the data DVD set.

You might want to check the BIOS settings if the DVD isn't booting after you make it...make sure the boot order has the DVD showing up first.
