Installing XP on a t410 gives BSOD

#1 Post by jammie*dodger » Thu Apr 22, 2010 9:59 am

I'm trying to install XP Pro SP3 on a new T410. Every time I install I get a BSOD with an error message about pci.sys on it. I've tried downloading HDD drivers from Lenovos website and installing them using f6 at boot time but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas what I should try next?

Thanks in advance, Rob.

Similar issue but a slip-streamed CD worked. You sure that SP3 disc works?

SATA drivers on windows XP need to be upgraded to SP3, you'll need to slipstream Win XP SP3 into your XP disk. Try nLite to slipstream
