Thinking of buying a 42T0929 (Verizon WWAN card for T61) to put into T410s (2901-CTO). Is it going to trigger BIOS beep?
Dont want to spend $200+ for a gobi card.

Yes. Use a modified BIOS -- "problem solved".

There is the physical space issue: For sure the T410s WiFi minipci-card is minuscule, and old WiFi cards will almost certainly not fit. The space for the gobi 2000 is a bit closer to old minipci-card sizes, but I haven't checked if it allows one to install the old Sierra Wireless cards.

Having problem locating the part number for a correct GOBI2000 card for my T410s. I would appreciate it if one of you can give me the FRU # of the gobi2000 card that is in T410s. I need to be on Verizon.
I think 78Y1399 is it, but want to make certain as Lenovo description is not clear.
Thanks.

Won't work, the only card that will work with the T410 (not T400) is the 78Y1399.
The T400 card is 57Y4485, does not work in a T400. I tested both these configs. I can't do the BIOS modification since there are hundreds of these things to support here.

Does 78Y1399 support Verizon? Can someone confirm this?
