Desperately Need Help - Location of the BIOS Chip on MB T400

Latest System Update from Lenove instructed my son to update BIOS on his T400, which he did... Now the computer does not start - beeping, black screen. Out of warranty. 
Lenovo support suggests to replace the system board. Can't afford it. I purchased a pre-programmed BIOS chip online, but am having trouble locating the original BIOS chip on the system board. Looked all over the Internet for system board schematics - no success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
