BIOS update for T410

I'm tempted by the line that reads 'improve key input response' on BIOS upgrade 1.15--I have 1.09 now. My keyboard seems a bit temperamental, though only maybe a bit. I could live with it if necessary.
My question is: Lenovo's done nice work with Microsoft getting this thing to boot fast and close fast. Most things work just fine. So if I update the BIOS, will that affect any of the custom settings?
Anybody had any problems doing BIOS updates here--any for 410 or this one in particular?
I've never had a problem doing a BIOS upgrade in past but I'm always cautious about them.
Happy for input.

I have 1.15 on my T510 and it dramatically improved my keyboard! There was a known issue in the older BIOS verisons of both the T410 and T510 (and some other models too) where the keyboard would sometimes mix up the order you typed certain letters in when you typing quickly. That has gone away with 1.15.

I've yet to hear of anyone having trouble with 1.15 on either a T510 or T410. The previous verson (1.12) had a problem where it would drop the windows activation information that's in your BIOS during the update process under certain conditions. It's a good thing you missed/skipped that version. But 1.15 should be safe to the best of my knowledge, and will fix your keyboard. :)

Just to update:
Did the BIOS update two days ago. Yes, it does seem to improve the keyboard feel. I was beginning to get used to it anyway but my fingers somehow felt stretched at the end of a bout of typing. No longer. Now it's just the best feeling keyboard I've ever owned and this is my fifth Thinkpad. So high praise.
