T400 VISTA all kind of problems

Hello,
I have a T400, VISTA Business 32 bit, SP2, always updated using windows update, around 10 months old.
A few months ago the problems started as follows:
- boot up time increased to around 4-5 minutes
- after booting up, the notebook hangs for around 1 minute or more (I also have automatic startup for MSN, thunderbird and windows mail, but even without those the hangups are still happening); this only happens in the mornings after the notebook was shuted down over night. If I restart it now, works acceptable
- sometimes I get a "metalic" sound when I get an instant message on MSN , this means the original new message alert is somehow distorsionated, and at that point the mouse pointer moves very slow, but recovers after a few seconds
- the mouse pointer problem also occurs from time to time, and it`s not only the mouse pointer that`s slow, but the whole system
- occasionally, the "new instant message" alert from MSN doesn`t work when I get a first message. Always works when I get the 2nd, and so on.
- since a few days the BIOS and Windows clock are losing time hourly. This mainly happens when that "mouse pointer" problem happens. Sometimes it works fine for an hour or two, and sometimes it loses up to 10 minutes in 2 hours.
- fingerprint is not always working after restart, sometimes I get a message that fingerprint device is not available, and even when it works it takes up to 1 minute until it`s ready to swipe my finger
- for several weeks the notebook was overheating, now it`s ok after reinstalling all thinkvantage software.
- thinkpad power manager doesn`t work. I have the green button in the taskbar showing the remaining percentage of battery, but if I try to open it it crashes. (windows is looking for a solution, but never finds any
)
- after a restart and log on into windows, the screen is flashing for 2 times until I can see the icons on my desktop
I guess I have all drivers and lenovo software up to date since I reinstalled all a few times.
What I did till now to try to fix the problems.
Uninstalled all lenovo software, audio driver, video driver, power manager driver, and system CMOS real time clock from device manager. Have done all these operations in normal mode, in safe mode, in normal mode using revo uninstaller to clean also the registry, in safe mode using revo uninstaller, restarting each time, and installing in the recommended order. Same problems.
When I reinstalled the power manager for the last time, I got an error "system dll resource not found" or something like this, but it continued to install.
Any ideas will be highly appreciated as I loved the T400 as it once was; very annoying now.
thanks in advance.
