Can the T410s battery, docking station, and power adapter work with the T510 computer?
(T410s is the slim/thin body version)
Many thanks in advance!

The 65W power adapter from the integrated-graphics T410s will be too anemic for the discrete-graphics T510. Will power up but speed will be throttled. The other way round is fine, 90W power adapter works fine on both.

Tks for everyone's quick replies...
1. OK, so I *cannot* buy T410s because of the 65W power adapter which won't work well with T510 with discrete graphics.
So here is my other new question:
2. ***Can the regular T410 (this is *not* the slim "s" version) battery / power adapter / docking station work with T510 with discrete graphics?
~I believe T410 also use the 90W power adapter, right?

2.) Yes

If you choose a T410s with discrete graphics, you will get a 90W power adapter.

So, wait, having to shell out an extra 50$ for the 90W power adapter is a deal-breaker for a 1,500$ T410s?

AFAIK, the discrete graphics systems will run fine even with the 65W, without any throttling. Lenovo does not recommend doing so, on the off chance that the system will draw too much juice and overload the adapter, but I have not seen any evidence of throttling (at least on the older systems, situation may have changed now, if someone knows to the contrary - please show).
The things I would not suggest:
* Running on a 65W adapter with no battery attached. T6x/X6x systems lock the CPU to lowest speed under such circumstances (another defense mechanism). Newer systems may do the same.
* Running a docking station off a 65W adapter. It may not even work properly (haven't tried), and in any case the extra circuitry in the dock and the extra peripherals may overload the weaker adapter.

Does this mean that the docking stations that I have for my T400 (yes, I have 4 of them as I'm spread across four different worksites) will take the T410s?
One of the reasons I'd been holding off from the T410s was the cost/hassle of replacing all my docking stations.

I almost repeated myself then reread your machine types. No, the T400 dock is different from the T410s dock. The T400 uses an Advanced Mini Dock, and shares that dock with the T61/T60 and others. The T410/T410s/T510 use the Minidock Series 3. Like you, I have 3 or 4 Advanced Minidocks around here, and when I bought my T410 I had to get the Minidock Series 3 for it.
