T400 LCD Dim on left part of the screen.

Hello, I recently purchased a less-than-great replacement LCD off of ebay in an attempt to upgrade to a 1440x900 screen on my T400. It was supposed to be a LED screen, but it ended up being a ChiMei CCFL screen. The resolution is nice, and there are no dead/stuck pixels. However now with this screen it's darker overall (of course), but the real problem I'm having with it is it's darker on the left part of the screen as it brightens while you look towards the right. My question is, does this darker/dimmer on the left problem relate to the inverter or the LCD itself? Because if all I need to buy is in the inverter to fix this maybe this would be a good way to go? Interestingly enough, during it's initial power-on the LCD brightness seems consistent, but as it warms up the left part gets dimmer (or the right gets brighter). Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks!

Would they actually replace it with the same LCD? And would they (Lenovo) actually warranty it since I purchased it off ebay?

Oh I've been through the process before with previous laptops from IBM/Lenovo, and it's easy.
I was just questioning if they'd service it. What do you think?
