T510 screen gridlines

Ok, so they aren't THAT annoying, but they are noticible enough for me to want to consider buying and putting in a different screen into my computer. So, could anybody possibly link me to an ebay auction with the HD+ screen Lenovo uses or just a screen that will work and is of better quality. The contrast and everything else is fine, except for those slightly noticible gridlines.

I take it you've got the basic HD (1366x768) screen? Are you able to capture the grid lines using a camera and post here? I've seen one other person complain of grid lines on the HD screen and tried to warn a few others that were planning to buy it (on various forums), but I didn't know if that one person's screen was an isolated problem screen, or if it's just how they all are. The HD+ screen definitely doesn't have the issue. Maybe if you stick your eyeballs an inch or two away from the screen or something, but definitely not at any sort of "normal" viewing distances!

No, they aren't capturable by camera, but they are noticible, if I pull my head back and sit back in my seat then yeah, they are pretty much non-existant, but you can still see them there, especially on darker colors.

Sounds like a defective display. I've seen a few HD displays like yours & none have the issue you describe.

I thought it was a common problem for the HD (1366x768) displays?

Well, I'm not sure exactly how common it is, but I just found that other thread I remembered reading a while ago. It was on notebookreview forum:

Either way, should I see if a place that will honor my warranty will replace it? If not, how would I go about contacting Lenovo on the issue?

It hasn't been too bothersome recently, I'd still prefer for it to be fixed.
