unknown hardware on 410s

#1 Post by scottmlew » Sat Jun 19, 2010 12:27 pm

Hi everyone, I just got my new 410s (to replace my T60). I've swapped out the factory drive for an Intel 160GB SSD and am doing a clean install of Win7 64-bit. All hardware seems to be working, but I still have 2 "other devices" -- Base System Device (Ven 1180, Dev E230) and PCI Simple Communications Controller (Ven 8086, Dev 3B64). Does anyone know what these devices are? I'd like to get the appropriate drivers installed.

Thanks for the reply! Installing the Ricoh drivers did resolve one of them (although the card reader was working prior to the driver installation). I had already installed the chipset drivers, but I tried reinstalling them -- but it still shows the PCI Simple Communications Controller as an "Other Device".

Any other ideas?

Install System Update 4.0 and let it do the work for you.
