T510 only 3 gigs usable on a 64 bit OS

Well I just received my brand new thinkpad t510

I spec'ed it out with 4 gigs of ram, (and yes I know if I don't have a 64 bit OS only 3 will be usable)

But I do have a 64bit OS, and it still reports only 3 gigs usable, I figured it may possibly have something to do with my motherboard chipset which according to CPU-Z is

Chipset: Intel ID0044
SouthBridge: Intel QM57

Is my chipset the issue (considering it is a brand new notebook I would hope it is not)
Also I verified in the BIOS and there was no setting for me to enable 4 gigs

In the BIOS the system sees the 4 gigs, and when it is booted the 4 gigs are visible but only 3 are usable
The system is currently runnin Win7 Pro 64 bit

Any thoughts on why this is happening??

Try the latest BIOS, there was a fix for this.

Note: It is recommended to update the BIOS via the bootable CD. There have been recent instances where W7 64bit users have bricked their machines using the windows exec.

Will Lenovo respect the warranty of my machine if during BIOS upgrade with windows exec my machine is bricked ?
Will they replace the motherboard ?
