I just got a ThinkPad T510 with Windows 7 Professional x64 and I installed Daemon Tools Lite, but I keep getting an error when I run it:
Unable to add adapter.
Does anybody know how to fix this? Many thanks.

Can't help with the specific problem, but I stopped using Daemon Tools Lite when the ImgBurn installer protested about some feature or problem with it (can't remember what it was) and so now use Virtual Clone Drive instead:

I had a simillar problem on my T410.
You have to install the latest version of SPTD 1.69 and then Daemon Tools will work.

I remember now, SPTD is what caused ImgBurn to protest... it can apparently have an adverse impact on drive performance.

Many thanks for the suggestion... Is there any software on par with Daemon Tools Lite. I just use it to load .iso files, etc. Preferably, the software is freeware. Most of the software like Alcohol 120 have only limited trial period....
So I guess If I reinstall new SPTD, I will be fine. Thanks.

I use Daemon Tools the same way- just to load ISO images. For burning ISOs I use a freeware called CDBurnerXP for burning ISO images among other tasks.

Virtual Clone Drive (linked to above) meets your criteria. It's what I use for the same purpose as you.

I thought VCD doesn't work on x64 systems? Anyway, all my Windows 7 systems are using MagicDisc, it's free and does everything you need pretty much. They have a version for x64 systems:

No, it works fine with x64. I had an issue with Daemon Tools when I tried to install it in November, went to VCD and it's been working great since. I use it all the time.
