hey guys my new thinkpad t510 just came to my dorm today. this thing is rock solid. no display flex, it feels like a brick, especially when its closed. the keyboard is a DREAM to type on. i am completely sold on this line of notebooks. never going back to what i *thought* was the premium notebook line(alienware). My ram came yesterday from newegg so heres my stats

core i5 @ 2.93Ghz
8gb pc-8500
500 gig 7200rpm hd
quadro nvs 3100 512mb
3 year warranty.

this feels like a MANS notebook(not a DUDE, your getting a dell! or that other fruity brand).

Cons: the battery sits a little loose and yes theres the infamous left palmrest creak but the only reason i noticed is because i had read about it before. arggggggg i love THIS NOTEBOOOOOOK!!!!

I'm just curious, for what do you need 8GB RAM? What memory intensive applications do you run? 8GB RAM is quite a lot and pretty expensive, after all.
