Resolution change - T410

#1 Post by hydroxide18 » Sat Jul 10, 2010 3:55 pm

Hi everyone, I recently purchase a T410 (i7 processor, 2.67 GHZ, 500 GB HD, Windows 7 Professional) and was hoping to increase the resolution. I currently have it set to 1200 x 800 but this the highest that it goes. On my old laptop (t43, purchased in 2005) my resolution can go up to 1600 x 1200. I was hoping to bring my new laptop to that resolution. Any advice??

It is not possible to run the Thinkpad at a higher resolution than the LCD was designed for. The T43 can operate at 1600x1200 because it has a UXGA LCD whose default resolution is 1600x1200. Are you sure it isn't a T43P?

You did everything right but getting the WXGA+.
You got nice procesor, ram, hard drive, OS, but you skimmed out on the screen. The screen is what represents and displays everything you paid for. It was a $20 dollar upgrade or something for the WXGA+ and with that, you get 1440x900. Which is what I just bought
