how to wake T410

Hi Y'all,

I have a T410, thanks to John Demirdjian and Bill Morrow's escrow service.
Windows-7, 64 bit.

I changed some power settings(presentation mode, always on) and a couple others and now
when I close the lid, it won't restart. The on button just slowly blinks.
Have tried pushing every key, key combination, trackpoint and pad.

Please tell me what I need to re-set so it re-starts after the lid is closed and re-opened!

Thanks and good health, Weogo

Push the power on button. This behavior can be changed to lid open in power manager.

Hi Harry,

Thanks for the reply.

If I push the power button, the T410 turns off.

The power settings I'm finding are pretty different from my X41 Tablet running XP.
I'll root around in there some more and see what I can figure out.

Do you know exactly where the option for 'lid open' starts the computer?

Thanks and good health, Weogo

Hmmm, well I think you've gotten some terms mixed up as well. By default, when you close the lid the computer goes to sleep, also known as standby. When you open the lid the computer wakes up or comes out of standby. If you see the power button flashing, the computer is in standby mode (sleeping). You should be able to set power management options to wake on opening the lid and/or by pushing the power button. I am running a Mac/OSX these days, so someone else will have to help you with settings, unless you want to wait a day or 2 when I may use a Windows machine.
