Will my array of T41/T42/R52 batteries, battery charger, power cords/transformers, or ultra bay accessories (which are all interchange-able between the T40, T41/T42s, R52 machines I have) work in/with T400s/T500s?

No it won't..

The mathematically correct answer is: Yes.

There is no T500s, so you are talking about the empty set. The elements of the empty set satisfy every property.

I believe OP is stating the models in plural.

I see a "no." I think I also heard a "yes" (to maybe T400s only)...or not? Sorry if I'm being dense in my mathematical translations...

Mathematically or not, the clear answer is absolutely "no".

To clarify, all of your T4x accessories won't fit either T400 or T500 systems. The connectors are different between the models, and the batteries are completely different.

However, batteries meant for a T60 will fit a T500, but will not fit a T400.

Isn't this only for the T60 WIDE batteries?

No... all T60 machines(14" 4:3, 15" 4:3, and 15.4" 16:10) used the same battery form factor. The T500 uses the same battery. I confirmed when I was thinking about upgrading my old 4:3 T60p to a T500(I ultimately got a T400)... the T500 used the same batts.

To add to the confusion, the 14" 4:3 T61 could use these batteries as well, but the 14" 16:10 T61 couldn't... it uses a different form factor shared with the T400.

There wasn't a 15" 4:3 flavor of the T61... only a 16:10 15.4" widescreen variant. It also used the T60 battery... I forgot to mention that one.

This ebay listing claims (I think?) a UXGA (1600x1200) 15" T60, which I think is a 4:3 (and there may be some other listings like it).

Am I reading this wrong...or is this false advertising?

No, you're right... there is a 15" 4:3 T60(that one comes with the very nice UXGA Flexview screen and is regarded as about the best laptop screen you can get), but there isn't a 15" 4:3 T61.

Can we add an size adapter to the T43 power brick so that it will fit into T410 and power the T410 with the T43 power brick?

I don't think there's any sort of adapter that'll allow the T4x brick to supply any newer ThinkPad. The T4x and below use a 16V power supply, while T60 and newer ThinkPads require 20V. There are third-party adapters out there with interchangeable tips, but those typically cost more than just buying a regular adapter online.

IIRC, the Lenovo Slim 90W adapter does have a tip that'll let you use it with an older ThinkPad, but I think that's an option you have to purchase separately. It, too, is pricey, but is slim, lightweight, and has options that'll let you charge your phone and media player as well as your ThinkPad.
