Clean installation of Windows 7

#1 Post by qbektrix » Sun Jul 25, 2010 12:47 pm

Hi,

I am a new thinkpad user, I have a T410i. I have the trial version of mircosoft office and many other apps in the machine which was already installed in the system when i bought it. I want to format it and do a fresh installation with just all the necessary apps.

Also, I have a c: & q: drive in my machine. I want to partition the c: drive. Is there any app in thinkpad that will do the work?

Lastly, q: drive is named lenovo. Is it necessary??? Should i keep it or format????
T410i: Win 7 Pro 64x, Intel Core i3-330M (2.13GHz, 3MB L3, 1066MHz), 2GB, 320GB/7200rpm, Intel HD Graphics.

Q is the recovery partition. If you delete it you won't be able to recover to a factory image. Here's some information on partitioning in Windows 7.
