T410 Wireless turning off

#1 Post by dcast » Fri Jul 30, 2010 9:56 pm

Hi everybody,

I've been having some trouble with my T410's wireless card. Its the intel 6300 card, with Win7 Pro 64. It seems to turn itself off at random and refuse to start back up. I have the latest bios, updates, drivers etc installed. Also the wireless card powers off after the computer has been suspended. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in Advance.

Go into device manager and into advanced properties for the WiFi card. Disable anything that has to do with power savings. Do the same in power manager.

You could try installing the wireless driver from the Intel pages rather than Lenovo driver matrix. I had this problem (wireless didn't come back without a restart) a long time ago with early T400 drivers, and had more success with ones from the Intel site. A friend with a T510 had a similar problem, and experienced improvements (fixed? dunno) after installing Intel drivers.
