I finally got Thinkpad T410, I started looking to get a Thinkpad since T61 days just never felt a need of having a laptop for some reason and never ended buying it. This past Sunday I was just looking around their outlet site and saw some good prices for i7 systems and bought it without even thinking twice. I hope I got a decent deal. Here is my configuration that I got for $619.00. Do you guys think I got a decent price?

T410 Refurbished
Intel Core i7-620M Processor
Nvidia 310 Graphic
14.1” WXGA+ (1440 X 900) LED, W/ Camera
4 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memor
320gb 7200 RPM HDD
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer,
6 Cell Battery
Windows 7 32-bit (I have to find out how to get this updated to 64-bit, Lenovo wants $45 plus S&H)
Bluetooth
Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250

I was surprised at the speed they delivered system, I ordered Sunday early morning, status displayed it will ship today, I already have Laptop in my possession as of Yesterday. Their status still displays it will be shipped today. I opened up the system and really can't see why it's called Refurbished, looks like Brand new system to me, Battery had 0 charge cycle and OS was first accessed in May, that is the month it displays system was refurbished by Lenovo on the box.

There is one thing that I noticed, the top right corner of LCD bezel seems little loose, left side seems intact no movement there but top right I could see about 1mm-2mm gap that I can see. Is there any way it can be snapped back in place? It doesn't bother me much but just something that I noticed, Other then that system looks totally new and runs great. Overall I am happy camper so far and am pleasantly surprised by the speed of the process when I read a lot of negative about Lenovo Outlet on web.

If you really need to reseat components. Try to follow the torque specs, those are extremely important.

Watch for one of the tabs on the right side of the palmrest, it can be hard to get out and you'll need some patience to not shear or snap it off.

Great steal btw. For 619... Well I don't know where else I can get a system for that much.

Thanks Navck, for the tip. I will keep torque in mind. I am going to leave bezel alone right now, it doesn't bother me much. I was able to clean install windows 64-bit, and it seems to be working fine now.

I've dropped my T400 before and have had the display bezel sorta pop off. There'd be a millimeter of gap between the top lid casing and the inner display bezel. You could see the clips had detached. I just kinda squeeze a bit and they click back together. If the clips are broken, then you might have other issues.
