T400 & T410 Ultrabay Slim Slot Same?

Sorry for this post, it's been driving me crazy .. I looked at the Tabooks, laptop reviews, etc... for the past few days and I just can't confirm this for myself.

I ordered a T410 but wondering if someone could confirm if the ultrabay slim drive is the same i.e. i can swtich drives without issues?? hoping someone would know off the top of their head. thanks in advance

ps... thoughts on the battery for the T410 at the bottom?... looks a lot like my battery for the X300. Too bad it's not interchangeable for previous T61 T400 models, could have saved some $$ ...

Are you talking about T400/T410 or the s models? T400s/T410s?

I can confirm that optical drives are interchangeable between T400 and T410, even though the lock mechanism in the slot is different.

I imagine the situation is the same when comparing T400s and T410s, but never tried.

I don't know about interchangeability between regular and s-models.

Many thanks for the quick reply. i was looking at the regular T410 and T400 models, not the "s" versions.
Hoping could continue to use my current bluray drive that was in my T400 in my new T410.

They are also the same with the 400s and 410s models.
