Greetings- For the last couple of months, every time I boot up my T500, a little window pops up:" Windows Installer" which then quickly changes to a "Solution Center", the feature you are trying to use......." window. I looked in the Control Panel to see if I could disable this annoying message, but couldn't find it. Any idea where it resides and how to prevent it from opening at the start of every computing session? As it is now, I have to delete three or more little windows every time I use the laptop before I can get on with opening something worthwhile. Thanks so much for your help. regards, Paul

What OS is this? Are you talking about the Windows 7 action center?

"Solution Center" is caused by HP printer software. My neighbour had "Solution Center" messages all the time. I uninstalled the printer software and that was the end of that.
Maybe if HP had spelt it correctly it would have been OK.

That would be it, the HP printer that I seldom use, I didn't even think of that as there is nothing in the message that even hints of HP.My OS is Windows XP business.I'll uninstall the HP software and let you know what happens. Funny, this didn't happen when I first installed the printer a year ago. Thanks very much, regards, Paul

Happy to be able to help you, Paul. When I first looked at my neighbour's machine I was completely confused. A few searches in Google led me to discover that HP S/W was the cause.
