Help! T410 Battery Issue?

Hello,

I just got my Lenovo T410 shipped today. Somehow, I seem to be unable to fully charge my battery. The battery life is always stuck at 99%, and the powermanger states that I have 1 minute to go before charging is complete ( however, I have waited 1 hour already). Should I call into technical support for them to take a look, or is this some software glitch that can be fixed with some with some update?

Also, another problem (never had a thinkpad before), I have encountered is that when I unplug the power cable from my computer, my screen goes black for 2-3 seconds. Is this normal?

Here are my battery stats:

Percentage : 99%

Remaining capacity: 93.78 wh

Full charge: 95.10 wh

Cycle count: 0

Design capacity:93.24

Thanks in advance,

TF

That is normal behavior for lithium ion chemistry, you're seeing the battery go into the constant voltage charge phase and/or possibly balance the cells off.
Oh, did you update the battery firmware by chance? That might just be a potential problem there.

It came with the latest battery firmware ( I checked). Is it possible for me to downgrade to the previous battery firmware?
